Can you divorce the art from the artist? We all have different thresholds of respect for our heroes and idols, and I've learned that it's usually best not to meet them or know too much about them as they are, after all, human and flawed like the rest of us. I don't think I've had to mitigate the gap between great art and the flawed nature of its creators as extremely as I have with Mayhem.

By most accounts, including their own, several (if not all) of their members were atrocious human beings, but I'll be damned if I don't think De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas is a masterpiece and perhaps one of the greatest albums ever made. I've also seen.
I like Anonymous's answer because I do have an osteophyte where he/she mentioned. One key factor when you sit on either is to keep a neutral spine as much as possible. Overworked back muscles can cause a strain, and compressed spinal discs can also wear down. But when we're sitting completely still, our backs may suffer as well. The lower back must prop up the weight of the top half of the body, and the position we sit in can make it harder for the back to do its job. While most of us have accepted sofas, chairs, stools and beds as being far more comfortable, the truth is, lounging on these only recently invented furnishings is nothing less than bad for your health. Here are 5 reasons sitting on the floor is good for your health: 1. It naturally improves your posture. If you learn to sit more comfortably, your mind will be free to focus on or be aware of other things besides pain. This could open up a whole new world for you. So the next time you are meditating or sitting on the floor, try sitting on a prop and see if your back feels more comfortable. Is sitting on the floor bad for your back.

We really didn't need a black metal Goodfellas. I suppose I read this as a parable about how cultivating an image and hiding behind an aesthetic at the expense of your feelings can go too far- the setting looking like Anysuburb, U.S.A. Doesn't really do much to discourage that reading, but I already see enough shitty edgelords building cliques that go wrong in real life- hell, living in America has given me a front row seat to 'irony' turning into honest to God fascism, and the fact that this is obstensibly a comedy about Varg Vikernes, real life Nazi, real life murderer, committing the murder that landed him in prison (the characters constantly watch splatstick movies so I don't think. I have Thoughts. With a capital T. So this is going to be a long post. Sorry.I guess I should start by putting this into context because I suspect most people are probably going to find this film perfectly enjoyable and wonder why I'm being so joyless.

I admit I'm basically the butthurt fanboy of black metal. All those nerds moaning about Star Wars or Ghostbusters and ruined childhoods. That's me here, sure. But I'm at least going to try and justify why I feel that way.I love black metal. I loved it in the 1990s. I love it now.
Back then, I was in a black metal band. I wrote black metal songs. As a biopic, this leaves a lot to be desired, but as a meta-commentary on the nature of young male bonding, feeling like an outsider, and observing a 'fake it till you make it' paradigm, the movie works quite well. The only thing holding it back is some of the dialogue. The actors seem to struggle with delivering it at times, but, then again, maybe that's kind of the point, as the characters are always trying to position themselves as 'very serious' death-metal dudes, who are prone to moments of melodrama. They are all awkward dudes. The movie is, smartly, self-aware enough that it never takes the story as seriously as the characters do. It often felt like satire, weaving.
